My metallic pleated leather skirt is a blueberry smoothie as shocking as Schiaparelli pink. Saw the Schiaparelli & Prada Costume exhibit at the Met - gorgeous clothes make me giddy. Delighted to see I share some of the Prada shoes on display but yearn to be as whimsically dressed as Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor, in Schiaparelli. She loved bejeweled animals as much as me: darling ducklings & elephants for my collection.

My mod moon Chanel silver patent leather booties with black patent stripes & seashell heels were everywhere at Karl Lagerfeld's spring 2012 show. I paired them with a jersey ice skater dress with a scoop neck back patterned in palm trees. This frock was a gift from my fairy godmother in MA... We never met but are style soul mates, penning paeans about fashion conundrums of city-country girls.
