Friedrich's Woman at a Window has haunted my melancholy soul since studying it in art history. Here I recreated this painted daydream in a black & white lace cookie dress from Moschino's recent resort collection - harmony in Victoriana. All these photos were taken on or around my birthday (March 21, the first day of spring). Usually I wear something new, but this sparkly tulle constantly charms (especially fresh from the Braid Bar @John Barrett's in Bergdorf). Organza ruffles make my navy polka dot dress positively prim & proper for all occasions.

I never wear the same outfit day-night to avoid dragging the day with me. The exception is outerwear as my dresses outnumber coats 4:1; overlap is inevitable in cold weather. This fuzzy floral jacket is a sentimental favorite; this tailored wool coat trimmed in leather was designed after British sanitation workers' uniforms.
