Carmina

LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE: Robert Indiana, LOVE
Robert Indiana's LOVE is my favorite modern masterpiece: a sculptural interpretation of the word two stories high in red & blue with a tipsy O. Chartreuse LOVE embroiders this belt, underlining my frock's V.
Diane von Furstenberg 'Carmina' dress (last worn HERE). Linea Pelle belt. Vintage necklace. Miu Miu Mary Janes.
Diane von Furstenberg called her flowy flowery dress Carmina, evoking Carmina Burana: the medieval manuscript of poetry & songs I studied in art history. I always loved illuminated manuscripts, especially the Irish Book of Kells & Book of Durrow - richly illustrated gospels whose artistry supersedes faith.
