Vintage necklace.
Anna Sui dress. Vintage necklace (worn as belt). Banana Republic ring. Betsey Johnson tights. Loeffler Randall 'June' booties."See your little face / Reflected in the forest pool, / Tall foxgloves grow about the place, / Forget-me-nots grow green & cool. / Look deep & see the naiad rise / To meet the sunshine of your eyes. / Lean down and see how you are fair, / How gold your hair, your mouth how red; / See the leaves dance about your hair / The wind has left unfilleted. / What naiad of them can compare" - Edith Nesbit, The Forest Pool
Greek mythology describes naiads as nymphs who ruled small bodies of water & J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan tells us we have to believe in faeries for them to exist... I wonder if they're all still there in the ether (goddesses & supernatural sprites), biding time until we revive them with happy thoughts. My forest green frock iced with silver lace frost is a page out of Remembrance of Things Past - when nature roamed wild & free, unpeopled. Worn with an Art Deco necklace & more flora: a carnation ring & rosebud tights.

really love this dress & the way you styled it with those tights & booties. x
