Elie Tahari resort 2011 collection, look #4
My Elie Tahari 'Amelie' dress is the ivory version of look #4 from resort 2011. The shift silhouette with bateau neck is universally flattering in sequined lace with a sheer eyelash-fringed scalloped hem & bracelet sleeves. This fabric shines best face-to-face - unfortunately my camera fails to capture the scratchy sequins & Loop de Loop lace. Inspired by American photographer Andrew Zuckerman's images of exotic birds, Mr. Tahari's collection explores leather outerwear & sophisticated slinky dresses: sprays of sequins for urban party girls & printed caftans for international Resort-ers who resort abroad. Modestly alluring straight lines are at the heart of Mr. Tahari's designs - feminine fashions that seduce stealthily with the beauty is truth, truth beauty of life. All dressed in white can look bridal or nurse-like, but this frock's lovely & magical on its own - worn here with only camel ballerinas & a turquoise rock.
