ADAM sweater. Jill Stuart dress. Vintage necklaces. Urban Outfitters ring. Valentino boots."She had spent the last few minutes at the mirror worrying about the sweater. It perfectly matched her British boots & breeches & tweed jacket & the russet band... It had looked charming in the shop, this cat-smooth russet cashmere & the size was correct. But the fit was snug; mighty snug. Marjorie knew that a pretty girl in a tight sweater created a commotion" - Herman Wouk, Marjorie Morningstar
Sweaters haven't been scandalous since 1950s torpedo brassieres, but winter is a banner season for woolens & The Nutcracker... Here I'm dancing the role of Candy Cane Fairy in a cable-knit crewneck & swiss dot dress. I love the cut of my cropped pullover; similar styles abound, but I was drawn to this one's russet color. I'm actually wearing two sweaters counting my knit tights: they enable me to inhabit frocks year-round & as such, I'm constantly seeking new ones - black opaque is my stalwart standby. I've had this alpine sundress forever, which feels fresh as ever with these rosette motorcycle boots.
