This champagne dress (look #25 from Marc by Marc Jacobs' fall 2007 fashion show) was the toast of the town during its debut; Gossip Girl costume designer Eric Daman even clothed character Blair Waldorf in it. The runway model was styled with a coquettish beret & elbow-length gloves, while Blair wore a capelet & single strand of pearls. These babydoll gamine & uptown princess interpretations (respectively) were ultimately too costumey for me - I opted for spectator Mary Janes & serious gold adornment.
