Ralph Lauren sweater. ADAM skirt. H&M barrettes. Miu Miu shoes.Twas the night before Thanksgiving, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse... The Holiday Sweater Club is Heaven with a soft dress code - sweaters are coziness incarnate. Fancy frocks + chunky cardigans are a winning combo for winter festivities; consider a classic cream cashmere cable-knit + red pleated skirt (from ADAM's fall 2010 fashion show). I pilfered this pullover from my mom's vast collection (The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe's-worth of shelves folded with downy softness). The nook where I'm ensconced is one corner of my apartment's hallway, which resembles an English country house with muted floral wallpaper & a forest plaid sofa (I decorate in the same fashion as I dress: an eccentric mix of old world prints). I often read away a winter's dreary here, but these photos were snapped before I sliped out with my Ralph Lauren 'Bikini' bag in tow. It's a mini hot cocoa-colored leather saddlebag with a strap looong enough to wear sideways even over a coat.
