English Rose

LOVE dress. Judith Jack belt. Vintage Changette brooch & Lisner bracelet. Chanel clogs.
Everyone could use more LOVE in their life... This Topshop brand is notorious for whimsical prints & cuts, but my 'Claire' dress surpassed expectations upon arriving from overseas. A cabbage patch of chintz roses swarms over the bodice & paper-bag waist, while a dark tulle crinoline molds the bubble skirt & shows beneath its hem. My Art Deco silver & enamel brooch is decorated with a marcasite wreath of leaves, but the best part is a secret compartment that slides open. The gentlemen who sold it to me for a song & dance suggested I carry smokes in it, but I'll use it as a money-holder pin for evening. There's no room for a mobile, but 1930s ladies didn't need one when they went out & neither do I.
Thanks to LOVE's topnotch design team - they know what girls like!
