Literary Ad-dress

3.1 Phillip Lim dress. Ribbon necklace (worn as belt). Vintage flower headpiece & bakelite/twisted bangles. Delman shoes.
A flora headpiece + absurdly fancy country frock = honored guest at Thumbelina's fairy wedding. I favor dark folktales from the Brothers Grimm over their Walt Disney counterparts & my everything-but-the-kitchen-sink dress is fit for a modern gothic heroine (such as Catherine Morland from Jane Austen's novel Northanger Abbey or Rachel Verinder from Wilkie Collins' mystery The Moonstone). This frock has lace, crepe, ruffles (gathered into a paperbag waist) & an exposed zipper runs halfway down its back. I'm not one to be dictated to by fashion, but I stuck to the outskirts of these inviting woods for the sake of my suede ballet flats.

  1. Love the ruffly skirt on this. Amazing! Plus love that pearl and ribbon belt, I intend to DIY one of these very soon!

  2. Your pieces are always lovely. Do you get them tailored? Your vintage collection is massive in the best sense of the word...I am quite envious!

Your outfits are always put together so well.
