Surfside bikini. Vintage eyelet blouse & coin/gold/link bracelets. Black/white enamel bangles. White sunglasses. Bally bag (on ground). Prada shoes (on ground)."The moon rose over an open field / 'Kathy, I'm lost,' I said, though I knew she was sleeping / I'm empty & aching & I don't know why / Counting the cars on the NJ Turnpike / They've all gone to look for America" - Simon & Garfunkel, America
Happy Independence Day! I'm giddy as a schoolgirl for fireworks; a group of us are leaving late this afternoon to secure a good viewing spot on the hill. Earlier today we drove to the lake for some boating, badminton & barbeque... Biddies have nothing on my skirted cherry bikini - I'm channeling Mad Men era pin-up girls & Norma Kamali's iconic ruched swimsuit. This eyelet blouse is the perfect cover-up because I can leave its side zipper undone to prevent the material from touching my suntan lotion-y skin. These white sunglasses feel au courant thanks to Prada's spring 2010 ad campaign (which also made me covet the model's crystal chandelier dress).

Love your bracelets!
