Castle in the Sky

Vintage nylon dress, tapestry belt, chain necklace & YSL espadrilles. Marc by Marc Jacobs slip. Chanel sunglasses. 'Love' bracelet. Moonstone ring. Valentino 'Petale' bag (on sidewalk).
The dress du jour is my interpretation of the Sugar Plum Fairy's costume in The Nutcracker ballet; as Sovereign of the Kingdom of Sweets, she dances daily through a snow-capped Candy Land. This wisp of a frock is built of gauzy nylon decorated with ruching around the waist & lace along the top/hem. My tapestry belt would make marvelous carpet or curtains; its colors complement the pink bow pinned pertly at my neck. There's no happier handbag than a red blossom one; the bloom spiraling from my leather Valentino 'Petale' purse represents the dichotomy between my flower-child roots & lady-who-lunches sensibilities. I rarely zip bags, the better to indulge my constant rummaging; this tote is pleasantly capacious without becoming an infinite abyss.
