Vintage Vogue Paris Original dress. Woven belt. Vintage flower headpiece. Vintage Byzantine, cameo, mosaic, rhinestone & rock bracelets. Vintage Etra bag. Chanel ballerinas."She was dressed in rich materials - satins, & lace, & silks - all of white... & she had a long white veil dependent from her hair, & she had bridal flowers in her hair, but her hair was white. Some bright jewels sparkled on her neck & on her hands" - Charles Dickens, Great Expectations
"She" = Miss Havisham: bride eternal & ancestress to the Edie Beales' intrepid style. My homage: a mod metallic brocade shift-dress - perhaps the provenance of a 1960s bride luckier in love. Tinsel braid trims the frock's neckline & empire waist, which I double-belted with woven leather. A bevy of bracelets charmingly chimes with delicate whimsy as my arm moves.

I love your dress, what a great pattern. And your eye makeup looks fantastic!
