My school vacations were grandparent-chaperoned affairs set at a Floridian country club, complete with poolside lounging, gin rummy & shuffleboard games. I could've been Club Princess in this lacy dress; while I wear white throughout the year, it's particularly refreshing to adopt it when winter starts to fade. Joanna Hillman (Senior Fashion Market Editor of Harper’s Bazaar) & I share this frock; she wore it with a black jacket during the recent NYFW as photographed on the street by Citizen Couture.
My lace lovely looks parfait with a pairing of pink (light tights stepped into magenta shoes) & necklaces (go fish gold fish swimming in a blue bottle). While this dress satiates me in many ways, I also lusted after a golden noir version appearing in magazine editorials around town. Upon my breathless inquiry to the Phillip Lim store, I was regretfully informed it never went into production - be still my heart.
