What's Cooking, Jenny Archer? The kitchen was the starting place for both Miuccia Prada's Miu Miu spring 2009 RTW collection (aprons) & my day of play (a pinafore). Pinafores are fancy aprons that allow dresses to frolic freely "Over hill, over dale, / Through bush, through briar" (William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream). Victorian girls such as Alice in Wonderland tied one over a frock to keep it fresh - this pinafore dress is trimmed with lace/sparkly wisps & flutters at the shoulders. My accessories would inspire envy among a bevy of singers: a rap superstar necklace (Flavor Flav), a pair of purple tights (Prince) & some bangles (Madonna circa Desperately Seeking Susan).
