Armani Collezioni sweater. Rebecca Taylor dress (worn as top). Joie skirt. H&M headband. Vintage rings & clutch. Chloé boots.I recently had a hankering for a leather skirt - something with a little flounce, frou, joie de vivre; it's only fitting the brand Joie designed my dream. This skirt's supple leather flutters from a high-waisted band (I only wear high-waisted bottoms now to ensure ladylike silhouettes regardless of how high the hemlines). I identified a dearth of tops in my wardrobe but can't cease buying dresses, so I started wearing them in lieu of blouses - here my floral chiffon frock's sash cascades over the skirt. This necklace's guitar was originally part of a key ring in the gift bag from Anna Sui's fall 2010 RTW fashion show, but it's too charming to bury at the bottom of my purse. I usually carry this vintage needlepoint clutch as a wallet (unless a late night fits inside): the exterior embroiders a scene of revelers from a Rococo tapestry, while the magenta silk lining contains 2 pockets & a comb/mirror.

I love this outfit! The leather skirt and thigh boots make it edgy and a little unexpected...Gorgeous!
