Vintage Montgomery Ward coat. Bow barrette. Costume flower earrings. Moschino gloves. Vintage costume woven & jeweled garland bracelets. Tintoretta knit tights. Marc Jacobs 'Stam' bag. Loeffler Randall 'Riley' boots. Here I wear the vintage coat I bought last week in all of its glory: matted fur/floral embroidery & brass clasps/bracelet sleeves (ideal for displaying bangles during the winter). I braved an incipient snowstorm like a lady in a pair of floral/bow gloves & an overgrown change purse of a bag (1 part biddy + 2 parts color = Marc Jacobs' success). Mr. Jacobs named this purse after model Jessica Stam, following Hermès' tributes to actress Grace Kelly/singer Jane Birkin with the Kelly/Birkin bags.
These pictures were snapped on the Met's steps en route to the Art of the Samurai (colorful chic armor) & The Americans (photographs of Robert Frank's 1955-6 roadtrip) exhibits. Saturday + culture = a smugly educated start to the weekend.

that coat is great!
