I love this white scalloped dress (not least because Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf wore it to the white party during season 2). Blair's my favorite character on TV & I appreciate her sartorial choices (some of which coincide with my own). I transitioned the frock into fall with colorful tights & a black cardigan whose buttons are the fruit of my labors… Recently I bought a hodgepodge of vintage buttons (flowers, jewels & crests) at a tag sale in CT & spent some time refreshing my wardrobe.
Planning is important as it gives one something to look forward to... Currently I’m excited about: Halloween (I think I’m going to be Edie Sedgwick), Black Friday sales (to scoop up what I lusted after this season - mostly Phillip Lim & Anna Sui) & a lecture at the Met on shopping in the Gilded Age.
